Moving Day Has Arrived

Sheldon, Iowa — Wednesday was moving day for the buildings donated to Rise Ministries in March of this year.

The building that formerly housed Bob & Jo’s Antiques, at the southwest corner of the Highway 18 and Country Club Road intersection was moved, in three sections, to the RiseFest Grounds, about one-quarter mile north of its original location.

The building was donated to Rise Ministries by Perspective Insurance. After much planning and preparation, including separating the large building into its three major components, Berghorst & Son, of Hull, with the assistance of MidAmerican Energy, the Iowa Department of Transportation and the Sheldon Police Department, moved the structures north, across Highway 18, to their new home on the RiseFest Grounds.
