NCC Hosts ‘Taste Of Sheldon’ Event For Students

Sheldon, Iowa — With the new school year starting, Northwest Iowa Community College held a special event Wednesday that brought the college’s students and community businesses and organizations together on the NCC campus.

Jena Schouten is Coordinator of Residence Life and Student Activities at NCC, and she tells us about the “Taste of Sheldon” event.

Schouten says the event was designed to show the students that despite the fact Sheldon is a small town, the community has much to offer the college’s students.

She says the first annual event received a very warm welcome from the Sheldon business community.

Schouten tells us there was some extra incentive for the NCC students to visit as many of the Taste of Sheldon exhibitors tables as possible.

Wednesday’s Taste of Sheldon at Northwest Iowa Community College ran from 11:00 to 1:00.
