New Blood Drive Site Friday: Citizen’s State Bank

Sheldon, Iowa — Citizen’s State Bank and the Community Blood Bank are joining forces to host a community blood drive this Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Citizen’s State Bank in Sheldon.

Ken VerSteeg, executive director of the Community Blood Bank says Citizen’s State Bank is a new venue for blood bank staff, and they’re excited about the chance to work with them. He says registration will be in the lobby of the bank.

VerSteeg says their mobile blood drives on Fridays are special.

He says there are other reasons that they need blood donations now as well.

VerSteeg reminds us some of the things that they ask potential donors to do.

He says that you can have traveled almost anywhere and still give blood, but they do need the names of the countries and cities to which you have recently traveled if they are outside of the U.S.

Again this Friday’s blood drive is from 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. in the parking lot of Citizen’s State Bank in Sheldon.
