New Monument Business Opens In Sheldon

Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon man who has been lettering, setting and in some cases resetting grave stones for the past several years is now selling the monuments, as well.

Koedam Monuments is located at 3198 McKinley Avenue in Sheldon, or just north of K&J Cycle. Owner Scott Koedam says he’s been lettering and setting stones for the past few years and the move into selling the markers was just a logical progression.

(As above) “I’m a full, one-stop shop. I do cemetery lettering, I’ve been in that for six years now. (In fact) that’s kind of what got me intrigued into going into this business. I set all my own stones, I do all my own work so I’m with you from start to finish.”

He says he began selling the monuments recently and the sales business is now fully operational.

(As above) “Well, we just started selling stones here in the last six months. Providing a full-service as far as stones, resetting stones, setting stones. And anything you want we can get it available.”

Koedam says even if you see a stone somewhere else that is something you’d like, come talk to him. He says he can get ANY type or design of monument that you want. And he says quality, customer service and affordable prices are the hallmarks of his business.

Koedam Monuments is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 5:00 at the location next door north of K&J Cycle in Sheldon. For more information give Scott Koedam a call at 712-348-1202.
