Cherokee, Iowa — A farming co-op with a number of locations in our area has announced a new Vice President of Agronomy.
AgState officials say Sara Meadows will lead the agronomy division of AgState “by driving passion and excellence for serving members, finding innovative and cutting-edge solutions to grow yields, and optimizing resources to help producers achieve maximum results.” According to a news release, Meadows comes to AgState with a “diversified career in the agricultural industry.” As a Portfolio Leader within the Crop Protection sector, she provided what they call “strategic leadership resulting in over a billion dollar net sales.” While at Corteva, Meadows worked with row and specialty crops, and had a project leadership role introducing a new herbicide delivery to the corn and soybean sector.
The news release states that Meadow’s leadership will be “integral in driving AgState’s strategic direction within the agronomy division, and that she will contribute to the continued success of northwest Iowa farmers.”
In our four-county area, AgState has locations in Matlock, Sheldon, Hartley, Sutherland, Calumet, Paullina, Granville, Alton, Hospers, and Maurice.
