O’Brien County Welcomes New County Engineer

Primghar, Iowa — O’Brien County is welcoming a new County Engineer.

His name is Dennis Clark.

Former O’Brien County Engineer Scott Rinehart told the O’Brien County Board of Supervisors early this year that he wanted to retire on July 5th. The county board at that time advertised for a new engineer. But unfortunately, they didn’t have any candidates and July 5th was looming, so they worked out an agreement with Rinehart, and on June 6, they extended his employment until they could find someone else, but only until March 2024, if it should go that long.

Clark got the job and started last month. He tells us about his background.

He tells us he has a grown family.

Clark tells us they are looking at downsizing their home and deciding where to move at this time. He says, as far as his office, he’s getting acclimated to the position.

Clark says he’s already joined the local golf course and people are getting to know him.
