Ocheyedan, Iowa — Summer is fast drawing to a close, but there are still some town festivals remaining. One of them is Ocheyedan’s Days of Olde celebration coming up this Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Osceola County town.
Organizers tell us that the festivities get underway on Friday evening with carnival games in the city park. There’s also a Co-ed Volleyball Tournament. It’ll be Steak Night at the Corner Club, there’s a movie in the park, Registration for the 5K Glow Run starts at 8:30 p.m., and it’ll start at 9.
The big day is Saturday. Registration for the barbeque cookoff is at 7 a.m. The parade starts at 10:30 a.m. Food vendors will be available. There will be carnival games, a Kids’ Pedal Pull. The Tracy House Museum will be open, and will host an Ice Cream Social from noon to 2. There’s a Co-ed Volleyball Tournament, face painting will be available, along with inflatables for the kids. Music will be by Interstate Cruisers. A beer garden will be available. A street dance will round out the day with music by Smoke Screen.
On Sunday, there’s an Ocheyedan Community Town Hall Revival Worship Service at 10:00 a.m. There’s also a Bean Bag Tournament.
