Northwest Iowa — If you need health insurance coverage, here’s a reminder. Open Enrollment for 2020 Marketplace coverage through the “Affordable Care Act” or “Obamacare” runs from November 1 to December 15, 2019.
After December 15, you can enroll in 2020 health insurance through the “Affordable Care Act” or “Obamacare” only if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period. Insurance agent Joel Gesink with Gesink and Vander Wilt tells us about this fall’s open enrollment period.
He tells us what kind of people need to use the Marketplace to get insurance.
Gesink tells us that your only other options used to be — pay the high premiums or get a job that provides health insurance. But he says you do have a few more options now.
