Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon High School Homecoming Court for 2023 has been announced.
According to Sheldon Community School District officials, the candidates include Tori Elgersma, daughter of Peggy & Jamie Elgersma; Macy Jager, daughter of Erica & Michael Jager; Ellie Meendering, daughter of Jamie Timmer & Bob & Tricia Meendering; Madison Nunes, daughter of Lori & Anthony Nunes; Makena Oostra, daughter of Shantel & John Oostra; Jacob Besaw, son of Barbara & Adam Besaw; Zach Brinkman, son of Peggy & Raymond Brinkman; Timmy Lee, son of Maggie & Andy Lee; Jarrett Roos, son of Julie & Kory Roos; and Parker Thomas, son of Allyson & Mike Davis & Brad Thomas.
The candidates will be riding in the Celebration Days parade on Labor Day Monday, September 4th.
Homecoming at Sheldon is the week of September 25th. Details are still being finalized, but we know that the theme this year is “Back in Black”. There will be dress up days each day (details to be determined). Coronation will be Monday, September 25th at 8:00 p.m. in the high school gym. Homecoming Day will be September 29th. The football game vs. Western Christian will be that evening at 7:00 p.m.
