Sibley, Iowa — Soon, the Papik name will be on more dealerships in Iowa than where they started — in Minnesota. And it will be the end of an era in Sibley. Papik Motors is buying Jeddeloh Ford.
Gary Papik bought his first dealership (in Luverne) from Warren Schoon several years ago and they built a large new sales, service, and parts building along I-90 in the late 1990s. They purchased Vander Lee Motors in Rock Rapids at the beginning of 2019. Jordan Papik tells us about the purchase of the Jeddeloh dealership in Sibley.
He tells us they don’t have many big changes planned.
Papik says they won’t be making any staff changes, but they will be hiring.
We asked Papik about the supply chain issues that the auto manufacturers have been having since the pandemic. He says they’re working through it.
Papik says they’re excited to sell Ford vehicles. He says it will complete their portfolio of the big three domestic automakers.
Papik says when you shop their Sibley location, you can expect to find a good selection of used cars too.
He tells us they will take over from the Jeddelohs on November first.
