O’Brien County Relay For Life Becomes Conquering Cancer 4 O’Brien County

O’Brien County, Iowa — The organization that has been known for several years as O’Brien County Relay for Life has changed its name and its focus.

According to a press release from the organization, they are now known as Conquering Cancer 4 O’Brien County. The group says they are no longer a part of the American Cancer Society.

The groups says their focus has shifted  to allow the money they raise to remain local. They want O’Brien County residents to decide exactly where they want their money to go. The group says the change will also allow them to better control expenses.

They say that if you’ve supported them in the past, they hope you will continue to do so, but if not, they ask that you consider supporting your fellow citizens in O’Brien county touched by cancer.

If you have questions or would like to be more involved by sponsoring an event in your business, community,  school, or church, Conquering Cancer 4 O’Brien County invites you to visit with any of their board members. They would be more than glad to help!

Board Members of Conquering Cancer 4 O’Brien County include:

Mark Poyzer, President
Cindy Runger, Treasurer
Pam Thornton, Secretary
Julie Becker
Jo Holles
Mary Klein
Sheryl Storm

The group thanks you for your continued support.
