Northwest Iowa — It may be over a month away, but the Iowa Caucuses are coming up on Monday, February 3rd.
It is highly encouraged that you are registered to vote before you attend your local caucus.
If you want to register on caucus night, make sure you bring your ID.
In our area, several locations have been picked for caucuses.
For the Republican Party, all Lyon County voters are to meet at the Forster Center in Rock Rapids.
In Sioux County, locations are the Alton Community Building, the Hospers Community Center, the West Sioux High School, the Boyden Hull High School, the Orange City City Hall, the MOC/FV High School Auditorium, the Rock Valley High School, Ireton City Hall, and the BJ Haan Auditorium at Dordt University.
In O’Brien County, Republicans will meet to caucus at the Sutherland Masonic Lodge, the Sheldon Community High School, the Hartley Melvin Sanborn Elementary Cafeteria, the Sanborn Public Library, the Paullina Legion Hall, and the South O’Brien Elementary Primghar Center Cafeteria.
All Osceola County Republicans will meet at the Osceola County Courthouse in Sibley.
On the Democratic side, caucus locations include the Rock Rapids Forster Center, the Sheldon City Hall Downstairs, the Sibley Senior Center, the Orange City location of Iowa State Bank, the George Community Room, the South O’Brien Elementary School in Primghar, the Hartley Public Library, and the Sanborn Community Building.
