Sheldon, Iowa — The deadline is rapidly approaching for business to sign up to be a part of this year’s 8th Grade Career Day at Northwest Iowa Community College.
According to NCC, they’re looking for individuals to share their career through hands-on activities for their April 8th, 8th Grade Career Fair. This year’s event will be markedly different from years’ past, according to the college, and will be similar in format to a Career Exploration Fair.
NCC is excited to offer approximately 1500 8th grade students a chance to explore a multitude of careers through hands-on activities, and are looking for individuals who would like to connect with these students through a hands-on activity about your career, which could include a simulator or other hands-on activities. The event is being modeled on Build Your Future, but will include ALL careers!
If interested, please email careerday@nwicc.edu by this Friday, March 25th to sign up to present a hands-on activity at a booth. Please include your space requirements and access needed for electricity. They ask you to bring your own extension cords. A catered meal from Langer’s will be provided for presenters.
If you’re not sure how to create a hands-on activity for your career, just email NCC at careerday@nwicc.edu for assistance.
