Presidential Candidate Klobuchar To Visit Sheldon, Area

Northwest Iowa — A Minnesota U.S. Senator who’s running for President of the United States will be in our area on Monday.

Democrat Amy Klobuchar is the first woman elected to represent the State of Minnesota in the United States Senate. Klobuchar is originally from the twin cities metro area. She has been serving in the Senate for nearly 13 years, and was first elected in 2006.

Klobuchar will be near our area on Sunday night, making her final stop in Cherokee at 8:30 p.m. that night at Sanford Museum.

She will presumably have breakfast in Sheldon on Monday morning, December 23rd. Her first stop of the day is to be at Cook’s Cafe in Sheldon at 7 a.m.

From there, it’s off to Ashton, where she’ll be at Charlie’s Bar at 8:15.

We’re told there is a 9:15 Lyon County stop on Monday as well, but no details have yet been released as to the town or location of the stop.
