Primghar, Iowa — One of the towns having a summer festival this weekend is Primghar.
Organizers there tell us that their Cobblestone Days will kick off with a volleyball tournament at the Primghar City Park on Thursday. A food truck will be available too.
On Friday, the Hospital Auxillary luncheon will be at the Primghar Community Building at 11 a.m. That evening, there are a couple of activities you can take in. The Primghar Jaycees Figure 8s will be at the O’Brien County Fairgrounds, and will start with hot laps at 7:00 p.m. After the races, it’s time for the street dance. A food truck will be available there too.
The big day is Saturday in Primghar. Activities will include the Cobblestone Car Show, Food on the Square, the Cobblestone Days Parade and fun for all at the park after the parade. The kids can jump around on inflatables, there’s a bean bag tournament, mini-train rides, a vendor show, an art tent, a dunk tank fundraiser for the South O’Brien youth wrestling program, and burnouts. That night, there will be a DJ and Karaoke available.
The celebration wraps up on Sunday with a Community Church program at the Primghar Community Building at 11 a.m.
