Rock Valley, Iowa — Folks in Rock Valley are in the midst of another Rally in the Valley — the annual summertime festival in the northwest Sioux County town.
Dollar swim night continues until 6 pm tonight (Friday) at the pool. There’s also a cruise night tonight and the Nineteenth Avenue Tailgate Party — a fundraiser for City Park.
Saturday’s packed with activities. They’ll have a firemen’s pancake breakfast, a 3-D archery shoot, the Rock River Run, a rib competition, a car show, food at St. Mary’s church, a burger feed at Bicentennial Park, (of course) a parade, a mud volleyball tournament, a family fun day (including inflatables, touch-a-truck, cornhole and much more), the Kiwanis Duck Race, cardboard boat races, a ranch rodeo, and the tasting of the ribs.
Then Saturday night, there’s live music and a fireworks show.
Sunday morning worship will start with fellowship at 10:30 and the service will follow at 11 in the park.
