Rensink Will Remain On Sheldon School Board

Sheldon, Iowa — The sale of the home of one of the members of the Sheldon Community Schools Board of Education has spawned numerous rumors and conjecture about her future on the school board.

Susan Rensink represents District #1 on the Sheldon School Board, and serves as the Board’s Vice President. Rensink and her husband, Ron, had placed their home in Sheldon on the market some time back, and now, according to Ron Rensink, that house has been sold.

Much of the conjecture about Susan Rensink’s continued service on the school board surrounded the fact that the Rensinks’ also own a property at the Iowa Great Lakes, and speculation that they might be moving to that area, thereby making her inelligible to serve on the Sheldon School Board. Ron Rensink tells KIWA that, although they have sold their home in Sheldon, he and his wife are in the process of building another house, across the street from their former residence. That house is also located in Sheldon’s District #1, which will allow Susan Rensink to continue to serve on the Sheldon School Board.
