Republican US Senate Candidate Visits Orange City

Orange City, Iowa — An Iowa State Senator from Sioux City who has decided to run for the US Senate seat currently held by Chuck Grassley was in our part of northwest Iowa on Friday.

District 3 Republican State Senator Jim Carlin tells us about his background.

He says he’s running because he’s concerned that his grandchildren may not live in freedom in twenty years, and he says he wanted to do something about that.

He tells us why he decided to run against Senator Grassley.

He says there is a lot to consider right now.

He says the encroachment of big tech and their squelching of free speech also has to be addressed.

Carlin says he was in Orange City today at some area businesses, telling people why he’s running for the US Senate.
