Return Any Absentee Ballots To Auditor’s Office — Even Unused Ones

Northwest Iowa — The Lyon County Auditor’s office has asked us to announce that if you still have an absentee ballot, they’d like you to turn it in as soon as possible.

Even if you don’t plan to vote on it, they’d still like it back — especially if you’ve changed your mind and have decided to vote at the poll instead. If they don’t have your absentee ballot, you won’t be allowed to vote.

If you are going to vote on your absentee ballot, it must be postmarked by Monday, November 5th, and must arrive at the Auditor’s Office no later than noon on November 13th. Voting in person continues at the Auditor’s Office until the close of business on Monday.

The auditors’ offices are open until 5 p.m. today (Saturday) as well.
