Ribbon Cut At Beck Engineering In Sheldon

Sheldon — Beck Engineering held a ribbon cutting at their new Sheldon location Friday morning.

Sheldon Development Director Curt Strouth told those attending that Beck Engineering could have expanded anywhere, but chose Sheldon.

Strouth says Sheldon has worked with Beck Engineering on many projects.

City Manager, Sam Kooiker, says there are many more projects that Beck Engineering could pick up on around Sheldon.

Sheldon Ambassadors President Skip Tanner presented Beck Engineering with a plaque containing a piece of the ribbon from Friday’s Ribbon Cutting.

Beck Engineering also is bringing more jobs to Sheldon, according to company president Brad Beck.

Beck Engineering’s temporary location is in the Prairie Queen Court building. Eventually they will move to the east side of town, just across the street from the Holiday Inn Express. Beck says they plan to break ground next year.

Beck founded the company in 2001 in Spirit Lake. In 2018 they expanded to Cherokee and in 2021 they expanded to Orange City.
