RiseFest Acquires Festival Grounds

Sheldon, Iowa — RiseFest, the annual Christian music festival held each June, will be held in Sheldon for a long time following the recent acquisition of 33.5 acres of ground that currently hosts the annual festival.

With this land acquisition, RISE Ministries now has a permanent home to continue to host and grow the event on a yearly basis in its current home town.  RISE Ministries moved RiseFest, the annual Christian Music Festival, to Sheldon in 2012. Since then, the festival has grown into 2 days, offered camping for the weekend, added more for festival goers to experience, and seen audience sizes increase each year. Thanks to RiseFest’s Legacy Partner, Rosenboom, the future of the festival is brighter than ever and can continue to grow.

RISE Ministries Founder and President Rob Roozeboom says that moving RiseFest to Sheldon 7 years ago has been an incredible journey. He says a lot of that has to do with their partners belief in the mission of “It’s More Than Music.” Roozeboom says God has given them an incredible platform in an alfalfa field to share the life-changing message of Jesus.

Lary Rosenboom, founder of Rosenboom Machine and Tool, mentioned that the Rosenboom family is grateful to have the opportunity to secure the land from the Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation for RiseFest to continue and grow in Sheldon.

Sheldon Development Director Curt Strouth says they couldn’t be more excited for RISE Ministries and RiseFest to have their permanent home here in Sheldon and they’re thankful for community partners such as Rosenboom Machine and Tool.  Strouth says the Ministry is an integral part of the community and they look forward to witnessing the growth and development of the RiseFest Music Festival for years to come.
