Rock Rapids, Iowa — The first Rock Rapids Heritage Days took place in 1981 and it was a two-day event. It’s now a four-day event happening this weekend.
Rock Rapids Chamber Director Angie Jager says Heritage Days will take place Thursday through Sunday, June 15th through the 18th. She says many activities are going on during the celebration. Jager tells us about some of the new and not-so-new activities taking place.
Jager tells us more about the Saturday activities.
She says other activities include Vande’s Bar and Grill Street Dance on Saturday at 9 p.m. for anyone 21 and over, Community Church Service at Island Park on Sunday at 10:30 a.m., and the Soap Box Derby at the swimming pool parking lot on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. Jager says there are many more activities that she didn’t list, most are free to attend.
