Orange City, Iowa — A Rock Valley man faces a ten-year prison term and possible deportation after he was found with a quantity of methamphetamine.
Sioux County Attorney Thomas Kunstle tells us that 43-year-old Albert Jorge Dominguez Hernandez of Rock Valley was sentenced March 17, 2025 in Sioux County District Court for the crime of Possession with Intent To Deliver Methamphetamine, a Class “C” Felony.
The county attorney’s office says that between September 1 and December 29, 2024, Dominguez Hernandez sold methamphetamine to an informant under the supervision of the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office. After a search warrant was executed on Dominguez Hernandez’s home, officers discovered marijuana, cocaine, and digital scales with white residue.
On March 17, 2025 Dominguez Hernandez was sentenced in District Court to a ten-year indeterminate prison sentence, ordered to pay a fine of $1,370 plus the 15% surcharge, and was ordered to submit to a sample of his DNA. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is expected to take custody of Dominguez Hernandez at the end of his prison sentence.
