Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation has announced the winner of the 2022 Homecoming Scholarship.
SCDC officials tell us Sami Reinking is the winner of the $6,000 scholarship. Reinking graduated from Sheldon High School in 2015 and is now a teacher at East Elementary. She tells us what the scholarship means to her.
Reinking says she likes the fact that she was able to come back to Sheldon.
She gives this advice to anyone else who may be thinking about applying for the Sheldon Homecoming Scholarship.
The Sheldon Homecoming Scholarship is available to Sheldon High School graduates who have completed college and returned to Sheldon to pursue their careers. The $6,000 scholarship is designed to help them pay off student debt incurred during their college years. The scholarship was first awarded in 2019.
