Sheldon, Iowa — An annual event that is attended by a large number of area residents is coming up this Monday (May 20th) at the Crossroads Pavilion in Sheldon.
Sanford Sheldon will be holding their annual Health Fair Monday from 4:30 to 7:30, with the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team serving their annual fundraising supper from 5:00 to 7:00.
Shawn Dreesen of Sanford Sheldon says several Sanford departments will have booths at the Health Fair, including the hospital’s Nursing Department.
Dreesen talks about two of the other Sanford booths at Monday’s event.
She says several other hospital departments will have booths there, as well, and she invites the public to stop out, and get health information.
In conjunction with the Sanford Health Fair, the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team will hold their annual fundraising supper Monday. For years the event was billed as the SCAT Chicken Supper, but SCAT member Dianne Wolthuizen says the menu changed in recent years.
Wolthuizen says the proceeds from the SCAT supper will be used for new training supplies.
She says the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team is about twenty members strong, but can always use more volunteers.
Monday’s Sanford Health Fair will run from 4:30 to 7:30 pm, with the SCAT Supper served from 5:00 to 7:00, all at the Crossroads Pavilion event center in Sheldon.
