Sioux Falls, SD — The head of the company that runs the Sheldon hospital has received some praise.
Sanford Health President and CEO Bill Gassen has been recognized by Modern Healthcare as one of the 100 Most Influential People in Healthcare of 2024. The list was determined by the senior editors of Modern Healthcare and honors the most influential figures in the industry in terms of leadership and the impact they have on shaping health care through policies, regulations, lobbying and business decisions. This marks three consecutive years Gassen has been named to this list.
In our area Sanford Health has clinics in Sheldon, Boyden, Hartley, Hospers, Inwood, Orange City, Paullina, Rock Rapids, and Sanborn. They also run the hospitals in Orange City and Sheldon, and several other specialty services. They have about 400 locations in the United States and several foreign countries.
