Sheldon, Iowa — After being canceled last year due to the pandemic, the Sheldon Community Ambulance Team is set to serve their annual fundraising supper this coming Monday, May 17th.
SCAT Team member Dianne Wolthuizen says the meal will be served from 5:00 until 7:00 Monday evening, and will look a little different than it has in past years.
Wolthuizen says that, unlike other years, there are no tickets to purchase for this year’s SCAT Supper.
She says there will be SCAT members on hand who can visit with you about the ambulance team, answer any questions you may have and explain how you can volunteer to help your community.
The City of Sheldon recently added a third ambulance to SCAT’s fleet and Wolthuizen says proceeds from this year’s SCAT Supper will go toward a specialized piece of CPR equipment for the third ambulance.
This year’s SCAT Supper will be held Monday evening from 5:00 to 7:00. You’re asked to enter the parking lot on the west side of the Sheldon Community Services Center. From there you’ll be given instructions about getting in line for the drive-thru meal.
