Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Chamber and Development Corporation has added a new service deigned to help shoppers and participating Sheldon businesses during the current COVID-19 interruptions.
Now, Sheldon Chamber Director Shantel Oostra says you can shop for gift cards to Sheldon businesses, online, from the comfort of your home, without ever leaving your favorite chair.
(As above) “What we have is an online platform where we have set up all the participating businesses. You can purchase a twenty five dollar gift card to whatever business you would like to, you can select different businesses, you can select more than one gift card from each business, you can go on and and just purchased as many as you would like to on that online platform. We will inform the businesses of the purchases and they will then turn around and mail those gift cards out to the customers that purchase them.”
Oostra says there are several businesses in the Sheldon community that are participating.
(As above) “Currently on the list we have; Alyssa Ryan Boutique, Bliss Salon and Spa, Blossom & Bride Boutique, Carl’s Footwear, Downtown Hardware, Impressions Salon, JDL Creations, JESS Food Service Equipment, Just Cuts For Men, Krull Cinemas previously known as Main Street Theatres, Langer’s, Cook’s Cafe-The Lounge, Los Tulipanes, Missy’s, MR. B’s and Lady B’s, Pizza Ranch, Southwest Wholesale R. V., Sweet Puddle Jumpers Boutique, Top Notch Stitching, Touch of Hope, Truly Scrumptious-who will keep your gift card on file at the restaurant, Uptown Threads, and Vamp Salon. And that list could potentially be growing so you might want to keep checking it out as weeks go on.”
While some businesses remain closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, these gift cards will be honored once things return to normal. In addition, Oostra says many businesses have developed new ways to help their customers.
(As above) “they will be available when they reopen, there’s also several businesses, as you know restaurants are still able to do delivery carry-out and curbside pickup so we encourage you to take advantage of that. And also several of our retailers are doing similar, with curbside pickup most of them have Facebook pages that you can go online and check out what they have for sale and then just contact them with what you would like to purchase they can drop it off at the front door ship it off in the mail or you can have it delivered to your home.”
