Sheldon, Iowa — The 15th annual Sheldon Children’s Easter Egg Hunt was held Saturday morning at the Sheldon City Park.
Part of the festivities was the big bicycle giveaway, where ten children in five age groups claimed new bikes:
In the age 2-3 category, Kyah Romer of Sheldon was the winner of the girl’s bike sponsored by Cook’s Cafe, while Levi Eaton of Indianola Iowa won the boys bike sponsored by Citizen’s State Bank.
In the age 4-5 category, Olivia Eaton of Indianola Iowa won the girls bike sponsored by JT Trucking, with Oliver Peters of Rochester Minnesota claiming the boys bike sponsored by the Sheldon Edward Jones offices.
The 6-7 year old category saw Claire Punt of Sheldon winning the girls bike sponsored by Northwest Decor and Furniture, while Jaxson Ross of Sheldon won the boys bike, which was sponsored by Morgan Collision and Tire.
In the 8-9 age group Haley Hurt of Sheldon won the girls bicycle sponsored by Parkview Assembly Girls Ministries, while the boys bike sponsored by Parkview Assembly Royal Rangers was won by Dawson McKenna of Sheldon.
In the 10 -12 category Eva Stammer of Sheldon won the girls bike sponsored by Sheldon Vision Care, while the boys bike sponsored by Sheldon Family Dental Clinic, was claimed by Leighlynd Hanson of Sheldon.
