School Board Regular August Meeting Is Tonight

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Community Schools Board of Education will hold their regular monthly meeting for August tonight at 5:00 in the high school library.

During the meeting the Board is expected to approve fourteen Open Enrollment Applications, accept an employment resignation, and approve a pair of employment contracts for the upcoming school year.

In other action, the Board is expected to approve the bus routes for the 2018-19 school year, approve transportation of preschool students for St. Patrick’s, Children’s World, Noah’s Ark, and Sheldon Christian School. Approximately 15 students are requesting that transportation service.

The Board will also talk about setting life insurance coverage for certified staff, review some Board Policies, and approve some changes to the Registration handbook, along with numerous other items of business. 

Today’s meeting begins this evening at 5:00 in the Library at Sheldon High School.
