School Board To Hold Budget Hearing

Sheldon-Schools-logoSheldon, Iowa — When the Sheldon Community Schools Board of Education meets for their regular April meeting Monday, they’ll hold a public hearing on the FY2018 budget, and are expected to adopt and certifiy the 2017-18 budget.  The Board is also expected to consider a resolution giving them a 101% budget adjustment for FY2018.

In other action, the Board set the date and time for a Budget Amendment Hearing.  They’ll also deal with 8 Open Enrollment Applications, 5 Employee Resignations, and 11 employment contracts.

The Board is also expected to approve the Elementary and Middle School Summer Programs, as well as set non-resident Summer Driver’s Education Tuition rates.  The Board is scheduled to adopt a proclamation for Teacher Appreciation week, as well as approve the graduates of the Class of 2017.

The meeting is expected to go into closed session for the discussion of collective bargaining strategy.

Monday’s meeting is scheduled to begin at 5 pm in the high school library.
