School Board To Meet In Special Session Wednesday Morning

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon Community School Board will meet in special session Wednesday morning.

In what will probably be the shortest school board meeting of the year, the Board will meet to present the District’s Initial Collective Bargaining Proposal to the Sheldon Education Association, the union representing the district’s teachers.

The Sheldon Education Association presented their Initial Bargaining Proposal at last week’s regular School Board meeting. That proposal called for a 3.58% increase in salary and benefits, not including insurance.

Wednesday’s meeting will be held at 7:30 am in the high school library.
