Sheldon, IA – The Board of Directors of Sheldon Christian School is pleased to announce that Marlin Schoonhoven will serve as their next administrator. Schoonhoven will replace Pete Van Velzen, who has led the school for 24 years.
Schoonhoven is completing 14 years as a teacher and principal at Ireton Christian School. He looks forward to continuing his career in Christian education. He says he feels God has directed him in his administrator position to be an educator first and an administrator second. He says he wants to be actively involved in helping students grow and develop in their own faith journey.
Schoonhoven will begin his work at Sheldon Christian School in early July.
