UPDATE: Sheldon Superintendent Search Forum – Thursday

Sheldon, Iowa — Thursday afternoon’s community meeting featuring Trent Grundmeyer, of Grundmeyer Leader Search will preceed a special meeting of the Sheldon Community Schools Board of Education. Grundmeyer is the company hired by the Sheldon School Board to assist in a search for a replacement for Superintendent Robin Spears, who will be retiring next summer.

Grundmeyer is scheduled to review the results of last month’s electronic survey, and answer questions on the search process. In addition, he’ll be accepting further input from the public, parents or District staff about qualifications and characteristics the school board should consider in choosing Spears’ replacement. The public session with Grundmeyer will be held from 4:30 to 5:30 Thursday afternoon in the high school library.

Following that public session, the School Board will meet in special closed session to review Superintendent Application Materials. The special closed meeting is scheduled to begin at 6:00 Thursday evening.

Sheldon, Iowa — Thursday afternoon, the public is invited to attend a community meeting featuring Trent Grundmeyer of Grundmeyer Leader Search, the company that is conducting the search for a replacement for Sheldon Community Schools Superintendent Robin Spears, who will be retiring next summer.

From 4:30 to 5:30 Thursday afternoon, Grundmeyer will be present in the high school library. Sheldon school officials tell us that Grundmeyer will be reviewing results from the electronic survey which was completed in December and answering questions on the search process.

Grundmeyer will also be listening to any further input from community members, parents or staff regarding qualifications and characteristics the Board should consider when hiring the new district superintendent.

School officials say that interested persons are welcome to stop and share their thoughts with Mr. Grundmeyer, and he will pass them on to the Board, when they meet in closed session Thursday evening.
