Spirit Lake, Iowa — The second defendant charged in the murder of a Lake Park woman last December has entered a plea in the case.
According to online court documents, 26-year-old Allison Decker entered a written plea of Not Guilty on Tuesday to charges including 1st Degree Murder in the death of Angel Bastman. Bastman’s body was discovered in the basement of her Lake Park home on December 22nd.
On Monday of this week, 24-year-old Justice Berntson, who is also charged with 1st Degree Murder in connection with Bastman’s death, entered a written Not Guilty plea in Dickinson County Court.
Trial dates for both Decker and Berntson are set for September 21st in Dickinson County District Court in Spirit Lake.
Both subjects are being housed in the Dickinson County Jail in lieu of $1,000,000 bond each.
