Sheldon Council Makes Short Work Of Brief Agenda

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council had a very brief regular meeting Wednesday afternoon (June 21st).

Among the items approved by the Council during the meeting was an increase in the fee structure for one component of fire service fees. City Manager Sam Kooiker explains.

The “Lift Assist Fee” is a fee charged when SCAT Team members need to request the fire department to respond to provide help in lifting a patient.

Kooiker says the Council also approved Phase II of the Airport Fuel System Project during Wednesday’s meeting.

In other action, the Council held a public hearing on, followed by approval of, a grant proposal with Children’s World. Kooiker explains.
