Sheldon Council To Meet This Wednesday

Sheldon, Iowa — The Sheldon City Council will meet in regular session this Wednesday, July 12th, at 4:30 pm.  This is the first regular meeting of the month, and was moved from last week, to reduce interference with the Independence Day holiday week.

In other action, the Council is expected to deal with Change Orders and Pay Estimates for various projects around the city, including: the Highway 18 and 34th Avenue Project; the Lewis & Clark Connection Project; the 2023 Street Patching Projects; and the new 16th Street and Nest Avenue (Country Club Road) Water Tower Project.

In addition, the Council is expected to approve a resolution approving the contract, and related issues, for the Airport Fuel System Improvements, adopt a resolution updating the EMA Constitution and by-laws, and approve the 2nd Quarter Ambulance Insurance Adjustments.

All of the items above will be handled with a single vote, as part of the Council’s Consent Agenda.

In other action, O’Brien County Emergency Management Coordinator Jared Johnson is scheduled to present the Council with an update on the Emergency Operations Plan. The Council will also receive an update on the Updated Sheldon Code of Ordinances.
