Sheldon, Iowa — One sure sign of spring is scheduled for this coming Saturday. We’re talking about Opening Night for the Sheldon Golf & Country Club.
Clubhouse Manager Lynn Shoburg says Saturday’s event will be about membership, since the course is still too wet to play.
Shoburg says there are some changes at the club this year, some involving lowered prices.
She says they also have a great deal for first-time members.
Saturday’s Opening Night festivities begin with the Annual Board Meeting at 4:30, followed by dinner for members at 5:30, member signup at 6:00, and entertainment beginning at 8:00. While you’re there you can sign up for Men’s League, Women’s League or Couple’s League as well.
