Sheldon, Iowa — The trend in cooking these days is toward healthy ingredients and local ingredients. The Sheldon Farmers Market provides ingredients that are both healthy and local, and it starts for the season on Monday, June 5th, according to Sheldon Chamber and Development Office Manager Michele Honkomp.
She says many vendors are planning to be there.
She says that on several of the Monday nights during the season, there will be demonstrations put on by Sanford Sheldon, Hy-Vee, and Iowa State University Extension and Outreach.
Again the Sheldon Farmers Market will start on Monday, June 5th, and will be open Mondays from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
