Sheldon, Iowa — In the annual Heroes Behind the Badges Blood Drive held on Monday in Sheldon, the team of the Sheldon Fire Company and Emergency Management came away with the win over the other team — the Sheldon Police Department and Sheldon Community Ambulance Team (SCAT).
Community Blood Bank Executive Director Ken VerSteeg tells us about it.
VerSteeg says he was impressed by how many people came out to give blood and vote for their favorite team of heroes.
VerSteeg says the travelling trophy will be presented to the Sheldon Fire Company and EMA in a ceremony and luncheon that at last report had yet to be scheduled.
