Sheldon, Iowa — If you’ve ever thought about volunteering to be a firefighter — or if you’re even interested a little bit in firefighting, tonight might be your night.
The Sheldon Fire Company is doing a recruiting night tonight at the fire station. Fire Chief Brad Hindt tells us more.
Hindt says they aren’t especially short of firefighters right now, but they could always use a few more.
Hindt says they will explain what they do, the types of calls they respond to, their expectations, the process to join, and answer any questions you may have. Again, that’s tonight (October 18th, 2023) at 7:00 p.m. at the Sheldon Fire Station, near the corner of 5th Avenue and 10th Street in Sheldon.
