Sheldon, Iowa — It’s that time of the year, school is open, football season has started, and Homecoming is right around the corner. Homecoming week for the Sheldon Orabs will be 21st through 25th, and 2015 Sheldon Homecoming Queen and King Candidates have been announced.
Queen candidates are: Bayleigh Iedema, the daughter of Nic and Jamie Iedema; Sydney Iedema, the daughter of Troy and Jen Iedema; Haley Jungers, the daughter of Alan and Jill Jungers; Jessica Karolczak, the daughter of Todd and Paulette Karolczak; and Kayla Van Meeteren, the daughter of Larry and Connie Van Meeteren.
King candidates include: Kaleb Groeneweg, the son of Ryan and Tonia Groeneweg; Ian Jongewaard, the son of Bill and Lori Jongewaard; Colby Kleinhesselink, the son of Kevin and Staci Kleinhesselink; Chad Nelson, the son of Marvin and Beverly Nelson; and Joe Weppler, the son of Greg and Julie Weppler.
The entire Orab Homecoming Court will be riding in Monday’s Sheldon Celebration Days Parade. Coronation ceremonies will be held Tuesday, September 22nd at 8:00 pm in the Sheldon High School Gym, the Orena, with the Homecoming football game scheduled for Friday night, September 25th, when the Orabs will face off against Sioux Center.
