Sheldon, Iowa — A Sheldon 7th Grader, with dreams of one day playing college softball, has been invited to participate in the Softball Factory’s College World Series – Futures Select Training Camp and Clinic this May in Oklahoma City, but she needs your help.
12-year-old Emma Kristof of Sheldon says she was invited to the prestigious training camp after trying out at another clinic.
Emma says there’s just one catch.
She says this camp is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to train with the best coaches in the nation and attend two college world series games. However, recently Emma’s dad was diagnosed with a rare brain disease, and is no longer able to work, making it all but impossible for her family to pay the $2,500 cost of travelling to Oklahoma City to take part. As a result, Emma is humbly requesting donations to pay her expenses for the trip. She tells us what she’s doing to try and raise money.
Emma is asking for your help to make her dream come true. There are various ways you can contribute. You can donate online by CLICKING HERE. You can also donate through Venmo by CLICKING HERE. You can also mail a check to 619 3rd Avenue, Sheldon IA 51201, or you can call Emma’s mom, Kari, at 920-366-7955, and they’ll come pick up your donation.
