Sheldon Mobile Food Bank Is NEXT Monday, the 14th; Unity Meal On The 21st

Sheldon, Iowa — Normally scheduled for the first Monday of the month, the September visit of the Sheldon Mobile Food Bank will instead by Monday, September 14th, due to this Monday having been Labor Day.

The Sheldon Mobile Food Bank will be at the parking lot of the Living Water Community Church, which is located on 2nd Avenue, across the street west of Iowa State Bank in Sheldon.

The Sheldon Mobile Food Bank visit on the 14th will be a drive-thru distribution and will run from 4:30 to 6:00 pm.

You’re advised to NOT get out of your car for any reason, and do NOT come early.

Organizers ask that you enter the south driveway, and form lines on the parking lot there. FOLLOW INSTRUCTIONS WHEN YOU GET THERE.

Please do not come in from the wrong direction. Signs will be posted to get you there.

When you come thru the line you will not be able to get out of your car, so organizers say you will need to open your trunk so your food can be placed inside.

If you need to reorganize your trunk you will need to do that before you come.

This is for anyone who is food insecure. There will be some minor paperwork to sign in this time.

Again, the location for this month’s Sheldon Mobile Food Bank will be at Living Water Community Church in Sheldon.

Meanwhile, the free Sheldon Area Unity Meal will be the NEXT Monday after that — Monday, September 21, also at the Living Water Community Church Parking Lot.

This will be a drive-thru pick up meal to reheat at home.

Again, enter the south driveway of the parking lot. The Unity Meal is available from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m.

Organizers would like to say a special thank you to Maintainer Corporation of Iowa, Inc. for hosting the meal and providing volunteers this month.
