Sheldon School Board Meets Monday

Sheldon-Schools-logoSheldon, Iowa — The Board of Education of the Sheldon Community Schools will hold their Regular Monthly Meeting for May on Monday evening, May 11th, at 6:00 pm in the high school library.  The Regular Monthly Meeting is normally held the second Wednesday of each month, but that date was changed for the May meeting due to a scheduling conflict.

The Board will have a full agenda of items for Monday’s meeting, including getting the results of a district technology audit that was conducted by Heartland Business Services.  Representatives of Heartland will be on hand Monday evening to present their audit findings to the Board.

The Board will also hear an update on the Ball Field/Rec Project from Superintendent Robin Spears.  They’ll deal with four Open Enrollment Applications.

In other action, the Board is expected to accept resignations from six District employees, and approve four employment contracts.  They’ll also set school breakfast and lunch prices for the coming school year, and approve a student teaching agreement with the University of Northern Iowa, along with numerous other agenda items.

Monday’s Regular Monthly Meeting will begin at 6:00 pm in the library at the Sheldon Community High School.
