Sheldon School Board To Meet Wednesday

Sheldon, Iowa — The Board of Education of the Sheldon Community Schools will hold their regular monthly meeting for March this Wednesday, March 13th.

Among the items on their agenda is a report on the March 4th meeting of the District Leadership Team. Superintendent Cory Myer is expected to report on the Preliminary Fiscal Year 2020 Budget, inform the board about tuckpointing at the high school that is scheduled for this spring, and update the board on snow days this year.

In other action, the board is expected to approve the collective bargaining agreement with the Sheldon Education Association, the union representing the District’s teachers. After which they are expected to issue the individual contracts for teachers, co-curriculars, and staff.

The school board is also expected to approve a student teacher agreement with the University of Northern Iowa.

Wednesday’s Sheldon School Board meeting will be held at 5:00 pm in the high school library.
