Sheldon, Iowa — The 2021 Sheldon United Fund Drive is doing great, and the funds are running about a week ahead of schedule.
The drive continues through the 31st. The goal this year is $30,000.
The fund drive is now 88% finished. The funds are already at about 95% of the goal, at $28,592. About $1400 has yet to be raised. To finish on goal, the drive now needs to average about $896 per week in the last two weeks of the year. Since this time last week, donors have given $2150.
Contributions to any or all of the organizations served by the Sheldon United Fund may be left at any of Sheldon’s four designated locations: Citizen’s State Bank; Iowa State Bank; Northwestern Bank or Peoples Bank. Or you can mail your check to PO Box 41, Sheldon, IA 51201. Explanations of the organizations are also available at the banks.
The United Fund will be assisting 23 different organizations in Sheldon and the surrounding communities this year, and the board members thank the businesses and individuals of Sheldon and the surrounding communities for their continued support.
