Sheldon United Fund Still Ahead Of Pace; May Surpass Goal

Sheldon, Iowa — It has been an unusual year for the Sheldon United Fund Drive. The drive started with a bang with a very good first full week. After a little lull, the donations have been keeping pace — or even ahead of pace. Normally, at this time of year, the drive is behind. But for another week, the news is that if donations keep coming in like this, the drive will actually surpass the goal.

The drive continues through the rest of the month. The goal this year is $30,000.

The fund drive is now 80% finished. But the funds are already at about 88% of the goal, at $26,442. Over $3500 does still need to be raised. To finish on goal, the drive now needs to average about $1400 per week through the rest of the year. In the last week, donors gave $3917.

Contributions to any or all of the organizations served by the Sheldon United Fund may be left at any of Sheldon’s four designated locations: Citizen’s State Bank; Iowa State Bank; Northwestern Bank or Peoples Bank.
