Sheldon’s East Elementary To Celebrate Blue Ribbon Status With School Bus Parade

Sheldon, Iowa — One of Sheldon’s schools has received a high honor, and the school and its students are getting ready to celebrate.

Sheldon’s East Elementary School will be having a celebration in honor of being named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education. In an attempt to celebrate this prestigious recognition with our community, school officials tell us they will have a “Bus Parade” on Friday, October 6 at 1:30 p.m.

School officials tell us they will fill eleven school buses with students and staff, and travel along the parade route. They are inviting the community to participate by waving and cheering for students and staff as the buses pass by.

The parade will start by heading west from East Elementary, and conclude by going around the middle school and high school buildings.
School officials say, “Please join the celebration on Friday, October 6 at 1:30 p.m. for the Bus Parade!”
