Sheldon, Iowa — This Friday (August 2nd) is the date set for an annual event to help children from less fortunate Sheldon families get the things they need for back to school.
Sheldon Police Chief Lyle Bolkema says there will be a bit of a twist to this year’s “Shop With a Cop”.
Bolkema says the evening will begin with a pizza party.
He says after pizza, they will converge downtown.
Bolkema says “Shop With a Cop” is put on each year in conjunction with Love INC.
He talks about how they arrived at back-to-school time as the perfect timing for “Shop With a Cop.”
